Walki's roofing underlays have been designed to bring highest protection to building using monolithic technologies that are proven to be long lasting technologies against water, UV or heat, while allowing an excellent vapor breathability to keep insulation dry and efficient.
Walki®Roof Mono Walki®Roof Mono is the new generation of watertight, vapour open membranes. Using a new technology called Monolithic film, the functional layer is more durable than traditional micro-porous films exposed to UV and temperatures. The membrane is very strong and breathable, retaining its structural characteristics even after years of use. Moreover, it withstands chemicals used to preserve wood and oils from tools. It is also 100 % airtight and functions as a windproof shield. This prevents any undesirable airflow under the membrane and helps to reduce energy consumption. Walki®Roof PU Walki®Roof PU has been designed to further withstand harsh climate. It is a durable roofing underlay based on thermoplastic polyurethane. It is waterproof with optimal air tightness and water vapour transmission rate to prevent undesirable water leakage while allowing moisture to pass through. In addition, the membrane is resistant to UV-radiation (5000h UV) and heat which are important and essential features in any roofing underlay. Wind Barriers
Walki wind barrier or house wrap solutions are complementary to the roofing underlay and part of the building envelop that efficiently contribute to the building energy saving thanks to its excellent resistance to water penetration, while ensuring appropriate vapor breathability in every situation.
Walki®Wall Breath Walki®Wall Breath is a watertight, vapour-open membrane designed to be used as a wind protection underlay behind the outer wall construction. The membrane can withstand temperatures of up to 80°C, making it suitable for most wall structures. Walki® Wall Facade Walki®Wall Facade is a premium membrane which is watertight, vapour-open and designed to be used as a wind protection underlay behind the outer wall construction (closed or open cladding). The membrane can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C, and is UV resistant (5000h UV) making it suitable for most wall structures that needs to be exposed to weather conditions up to 6 months. Walki®Wall Film Perforated Walki® Wall Film Perforated is designed to address a good compromise between performance and costs as it develops a W2 resistance to water penetration with high strength resistance, which is very effective to prevent moisture and water to enter the building, while allowing moisture to flow from inside to outside. Walki®Wall Film Reflex Perforated Walki® Wall Film Reflex Perforated is designed to address a good compromise between performance and costs as it develops a W2 resistance to water penetration with high strength resistance, which is very effective to prevent moisture and water to enter the building, while allowing moisture to flow from inside to outside. In addition, the reflective surface contribute to global insulation by increasing heat reflection. Vapour Barriers
Walki’s range of building products tackles two increasingly important issues: energy saving and healthy, sustainable buildings. Proper insulation is crucial, however, it must be accompanied by moisture control to avoid decay and mold. Walki's vapour control systems include moisture barriers as well as breathable membranes. Our reflective products offer a clear path to effective insulation and our fire resistant membranes offer in addition fire safety to the building.
Walki®Active Walki®Active is a vapour variable membrane with a dual purpose. In the winter our product acts as a vapour barrier, ensuring that no vapour gets inside the structure. In the summer the membrane allows water vapour to flow through the structure, releasing the extra moisture. Walki®Wall Tight FR A2 Walki®Wall Tight FR A2 is a water vapour barrier layer for ceilings and inner surface of outer walls, made of a very strong Glass Fiber reinforcement, an aluminium layer bonded with a Fire Retardant glue. This product is suitable for the most demanding constructions such as high rise and public buidings as it can resist temperatures of up to 100°C and could deliver reaction to fire Euroclass A2-s1, d0. Walki®Wall Film Walki®Wall Film provides excellent protection against air and moisture flow to prevent condensation and mould growth inside the wall structure. The transparent structure allows to check what is behind the membrane. Walki®Wall Film Reflex Walki®Wall Film provides excellent protection against air and moisture flow to prevent condensation and mould growth inside the wall structure. The reflective surface allows to improve heat reflection and contribute to global energy saving. Walki®Wall SD Walki®Wall Sd and Walki®Wall Sd Pro are vapour control layers designed to direct water vapour flows according to the requirements from different countries. The Sd range varies from 2m to 100m, and can be reinforced in case blown-in insulation is required. Ground Protection Barriers Walki offers fully certified radon and methane barriers to prevent all these dangerous gases from entering your homes and work places. These products are highly durable and are built to last a lifetime. The barriers are strong and elastic and thus can be used on different kinds of foundations, from rocky to other forms.
Walki®Methane Tight Walki®Methane Tight is a scrim reinforced, flexible construction membrane with excellent barrier properties against radon, methane and other gases, as well as barrier to water vapour thanks to the aluminium/double polymer layers. Material is designed to be used especially in the groundwork phase. It is easy to install thanks to the flexible and durable material composition. Walki®Radon Block Walki®Radon Block is a flexible construction membrane with excellent barrier properties against radon gas and water vapour. Material is designed to be used especially in the groundwork phase. Walki®Radon Block is an elastic and scrim reinforced polymer coating. It is installed during the groundwork phase, on top of soil directly beneath the building, to prevent the rise of radon. Walki®Radon Block is highly resistant to different temperatures and temperature changes. Walki®Gas Block Walki®Gas Block is a flexible construction membrane for basic gas and water vapour protection, especially in the groundwork phase. It is easy to install and provides a high Sd value.
Membrane Tapes Construction membranes should be carefully sealed to maximise their effectiveness. Walki wishes to reduce the risk of condensation if overlapping joints are not properly sealed or too weak. Sealing tapes have been developed based on Walki membranes to ensure perfect compatibility between Walki membranes and Walki tapes.
Walki®FR Tape Walki has developed a specific tape to be used with Walki® Wall Tight FR G A2 165 membrane so the full system tape membrane could be certified with a reaction to fire A2-s1, d0. The Walki® Wall FR G A2 215 tape itself has a reaction to fire Euroclass B - s2, d0.
